Pick the right file

Each download includes both US Letter and A4 versions. Use Letter in Canada and the US, A4 most other places. Printing the wrong size is the most common reason margins look off.

Paper

• Coloring and activity pages: plain 24 lb / 90 gsm paper is enough. If your child presses hard with markers, step up to 32 lb / 120 gsm so colour doesn’t show through.
• Covers and bookmarks: 65–110 lb / 175–300 gsm cardstock.
• Coupon books: cardstock holds up better if the coupons will be handled and torn out.

Printer settings

• Set scaling to Actual size or 100% — not “Shrink to fit,” which makes everything slightly small and off-centre.
• Turn borderless printing off unless a page is meant to run to the edge.
• Print quality: Normal for line art, High/Best for anything with shading or full-colour illustration.
• Coloring books: print single-sided so colour and marker never bleed onto the next page.
• Black-and-white line art prints fine in grayscale and saves colour ink.

Holding it together

Simplest to nicest: a bulldog clip; two or three staples down the left edge; a cheap binding comb; a single hole punched top-left with a metal ring so pages lie flat while colouring. For a keepsake, take the file to a print shop and ask for coil binding with a cardstock cover.
